When you click the SERPUPDATE icon, the popup opens with a layout that includes a top bar, a status bar, a navigation sidebar, a content area, and an AI Chat bar at the bottom.
Main Components
Top bar
- The Logo changes automatically with the light/dark theme.
- URL badge: shows the domain being audited, click to copy the URL.
- Export: the report export menu (PDF, JSON, CSV, links, headings, images).
- Free Rank Checker: redirects to app.serpupdate.com to use the Rank Checker (the Extension does not have a Rank Checker input interface).
- Captcha AI: the status of the AI captcha solver, activated automatically for the Pro plan.
- Theme: switch between the light and dark theme. VI/EN: switch the language. Stop: stop the crawl process.
Sidebar (left column)
Navigate between tabs, grouped into: OVERVIEW (Dashboard, SEO, GEO, Issues), CORE (Performance, Technical, Domain), CONTENT (Meta Tags, Structured Data, Headings, Keywords, Content, Conversion, Media, Links, Social), AI (AI Chat), SETTINGS.
Content area and AI Chat
The content area shows the Dashboard or the details of the selected tab, with a row of quick KPIs at the top (number of links, images, words, status). The bar at the bottom is the “Ask anything about this page” box for asking the AI about the current page.
Quick Start in 60 Seconds
- Open the website you want to check (your own site or a competitor’s).
- Click the SERPUPDATE icon. The Extension automatically scans and displays the Dashboard with the SEO and GEO scores along with 12 score cards.
- Check the Issues tab to see the problems that need fixing, already sorted by priority.
- Click each score card to see details and fix suggestions.
- Click Export, then choose Audit PDF to download the full report.
Tip
If the score does not appear yet, reload the page (F5), then reopen the extension. Some metrics such as Core Web Vitals, robots.txt, and llms.txt are fetched asynchronously and take a few seconds.
